What are those herbal medicine can cure high blood pressure?

Herbal medication, or any other kind of medication will not cure high blood pressure. Whatever you try medicine wise, will either start working the same day you take it, or will never work(I don’t mean fish oil). Try something, keep checking your blood pressure.

Here is a list to try. Some are expensive. They are not really classified as herbs. Your insurance in most cases wont cover them.

Coenzyme Q10
Garlic – its a blood thinner
Hawthorn – this one is an herb
Fish oil – I would put my money on this one, I think flaxx seed oil is better.
Folic acid

Your blood pressure may be caused by strees or anxiety(no I don’t know you). If that is the case, then that that will take a completely different approach.

Exercise at least one hour a day, 5 days a week. Someone here said not to ask a doctor any of these things. So if you are having chest pains and troulbe breathing, give that person a call.

Don’t take a lot potasium to lower your blood pressure, eat less salt instead. With potassium you are trying to balance your salt.

"Conditions that can result from high levels of potassium include weakness, weak or slow pulse rate, irregular heartbeat, nausea, difficulty breathing and paralysis. Other complications include arrhythmias, problems with neuromuscular control or cardiac arrest. "

Dont take to much magnesium. People with high blood pressure often have kidney problems. It will build up in your blood in that case.

Caffeine only raises blood pressure temporaily. It is a diuretic(like a water pill), so it can lower and raise your blood pressure.

If none of these things are working for you, post a question in the un-alternative medicine section.

    Cocoa and Potassium supplements.

Both lower blood pressure. Potassium supplements do it faster.

If you use cocoa, plain old Hershey’s works. Simply drink a cup or two of cocoa a day (go light on the sugar.)

And you can find Potassium supplements at any drug store.

    Also…go easy on the salt.

These treatments aren’t "cures" because they only work while you take them. But they’re the best treatments for high blood pressure that I know.

As a home remedy for high blood pressure, fresh garlic when crushed or chewed produces the Sulphur compound allicin. It is said to support the cardiovascular system. It is mildly antihypertensive and is an antioxidant.

Hawthorn, is one of many high blood pressure herbs for the circulation. The leaves can be used but the berries are especially effective in treating hypertension, lowering serum cholesterol, lowering high blood pressure and arteriosclerosis. It also contains an antioxidant that removes the commonest of free radicals which is known to accelerate arteriosclerosis.

The Dandelion can be included in our list of high blood pressure herbs.
If your neighbours can tolerate you having them, don`t pull them up, use them!

Globe or Garden Artichoke Cynara Scolymus
Another vegetable from the garden that I will add to my group of high blood pressure herbs is the garden artichoke.

The chrysanthemum flower is added to my choice of high blood pressure herbs because it promotes the dilation of coronary arteries and increases blood flow.

Astragalus is a powerful herb and deserves a place in my list of high blood pressure herbs.

Added to the list of high blood pressure herbs are –

Mistletoe, Suma tea, Yarrow, Wood Betony, Guelder Rose, Garlic, Capsicum, Parsley, Ginger, Panax ginseng, Golden seal, Aloe vera, Wild apples, Apricot, Olive Leaf Extract, Noni Juice, Limu Moui (fucoidan), Passion Flower.

In most cases, it is the rigidity of the blood vessels that will cause the high blood pressure. When there is too much calcium and not enough magnesium, this will result.

The best formula I’ve found that includes a good form of magnesium that is easily absorbed, plus other herbs that relax the body and lowers the blood pressure is the Blood Vessel Support Formula.

There is nothing I know of in either mainstream or alternative/herbal medicine that you can take one time to permanently eradicate high blood pressure. However, there are plenty of alternatives that will help lower and control high blood pressure when used regularly – and unlike mainstream drugs, they will not have side effects that lead to other health conditions that require still more drugs in a never ending cycle of managed illness, which is what mainstream medicine is mostly about.

And don’t you just love all the folks on the ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE questions section who keep advising to go to doctors and take drugs?

Here are some things that should help:

Cayenne Pepper is probably the fastest way to lower high blood pressure. Either mix one teaspoon of cayenne pepper with half a cup of luke-warm water and stir, or better still, mix two tablespoons of honey with two teaspoons of cayenne pepper and boil them with a glass of water and drink when it is warm. Not only will this bring great relief to your high blood pressure, but it also tastes good!

Hawthorn berries have rightly been called "food for the heart". They lower blood pressure as well as protecting arterial walls and preventing and treating hypertension and angina.

Two Evening Primrose oil pills a day can drop blood pressure about 10 points off of both the bottom and top numbers.

Cutting out all caffeine can lower blood pressure by 10-15 points off the top and 8-10 points off the bottom.

Eat lots of garlic, preferably raw minced garlic. Studies have proven that garlic significantly lowers both systolic and diastolic blood pressure.

Likewise cinnamon can help lower blood pressure, as well as lower circulating blood glucose, triglycerides, LDL cholesterol and overall cholesterol.

Mix 1/2 onion juice and 1/2 honey. Take two tablespoons once a day for one to two weeks.

Eat one Papaya on an empty stomach daily for a month. Do not eat anything after for about two hours.

A healthy diet with plenty of fresh vegetables and fruits, and quality fish oils and other good omega 3 fats will also help.
