adhd medication may be the best treatment for ADHD, but I disagree with you that natural treatments shouldn’t be considered. The Japanese are having considerable success with L-Theanine, a selective glutamate antagonist. Natural treatment also has less side effects. I think that people should at least try a natural supplement to treat their adhd before turning to the drugs, as the drugs have side effects. I take adderall and so far it isnt effective, but I know it does wonders for certain people

there is no “natural” or “herbal” cure in the world for anything besides malnutrition. sorry but there are no free lunches in biology. adhd medication is a great way to allow your child to stay in the real world. i have adhd at 23 and even with the medication i still have trouble keeping friends and girlfriends. you are doing your child a great disservice if you are against the idea of medication and are in favor of natural stuff

As far as having any effect on ADHD symptomology is concerned, yes, I do believe what I wrote. Please don’t generalize what I was saying about a specific condition, it’s nonsensical.

Again, I’m looking for citable, peer-reviewed research that gives credible evidence to any type of nutrition-oriented treatment of ADHD, IF there’s any to be found – which I doubt.
